Be Still and Know Who God Is
The day pulls in five directions before breakfast. Stillness sounds like a luxury, but the Bible treats it more like a discipline.
Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" The stillness is not the goal — it is the doorway. The goal is knowing who God is on the other side of the noise.
A few quiet minutes in the morning is a small thing that does big work. Coffee, the Word, a breath taken on purpose. The day still happens, but it does not run you.
