Want your DTF transfer to look crisp and professional every time? Just follow these four simple steps:

1 – No Pre-Press Required (Optional)

With our transfers, you don’t have to pre-press or pre-iron to remove moisture or wrinkles. If you prefer to pre-press, you can, but it isn’t necessary.

2 – Position Your Design

Place your transfer where you want it and make sure it’s laying flat. Our transfers press cleanly across seams, like on 6-panel hats or t-shirt side seams. For hats or tricky spots, use heat-resistant tape to hold the transfer in place until you get the hang of it.

3 – Press & Peel

Press your transfer at 310°F (155°C) with medium to firm pressure for about 12 seconds. Always test one piece first to dial in your setup. Use parchment paper or a silicone cover sheet to protect the garment.

After pressing, let it cool for just a few seconds and peel the film. If parts of the design didn’t stick, lay it back down and press again with a little more pressure and +15°F. Repeat in small steps if needed — multiple presses will not damage the transfer.

If you notice scorching on the garment, lower the pressure first. If that doesn’t solve it, reduce the heat by 10–15°F while keeping the lighter pressure. With a little practice, you’ll learn the best settings for each type of fabric.

4 – Final Press & Wash Instructions

This step is crucial. After peeling the film, cover the design with parchment paper (or a silicone cover sheet) and press again for 15 seconds. This “finishing press” improves the softness, durability, and wash resistance of the print while reducing shine.

With this final step, your product will hold up to wash after wash and have that soft, professional feel customers love.

All file types accepted, vector files are always preferred, raster art should be at least 300 DPI.
